How taking pictures CHANGED MY LIFE
Today was was cool.Taking photos of my class mates from different angles. It was cool because you could see the light effects of the sun from the different angles.Which made the object appear lighter or darker depending om the light source.I believe sun is the best light source that you could use in pictures because it could make the picture way better and stand out more than pictures without the sun as the light source.

Dorothea Lange
I like this picture because you can tell that they are not that wealthy, she is playing with a soap box but she is happy even though she isn't as fortunate as others but it doesn't matter to her.
Alfred Stieglitz
This picture of this little African American boy stood out to me because he mostly took pictures of white Americans and I wonder what was the concept behind this picture and why he took it? But never the less I like this picture because even though he is child he looks like a grown man. Which is sad but represents the time back then.
William Klein
This picture of Muhammad Ali Taken by William Klein. I like this picture because of the angle which makes it look more dramatic and like it is out of a movie and that it is black and white which brings it out more.

Paul Strand
This picture by Paul Strand I get an eerie vibe from the dark rectangles in the wall. Its has if the people are getting absorbed by them. I like this picture because its real smooth and the holes in the wall gives it a real 3-d look to it.

Untold words.
So many unkept promises
Many known lies
Wall built up
Trust put down
But always manage to crack a smile
Beautiful soul manifest now.

Gordon Parks
This Picture by Gordon Parks is The Greatest Muhammad Ali. I'm assuming he was resting after a workout and Gordon just came to him and took the picture. I like this picture because of the Natural black and white of the picture and the tiredness and focus in his face. My all time favorite Gordon Parks picture.

This Picture is by Diane Arbus and it captures a tall , maybe giant man standing with his mom and dad or grandma and granddad. Her pictures are of people that society has cast out and doesn't care about but she captures them anyway to make thme i guess feel like they matter or show that they do matter.

What I learned from Cambridge In Colour is that if you want flattering light for a portrait the light source should come from the top or , top right to show more of the models face. But an example of unflattering light is if the light come from the bottom of the subject and the shadows of her face from underneath darkens the other parts of her face leaving the picture looking not a lit as the other with the light source coming from the top or right of the models head and or face.

Irving Penn
This Picture from Irving Penn , I like it because how the dropped paint looks like it is a solid when it splashes off of the girls head. And its also cool because how the model looks like a statue or like shes a piece of clay too or something.

I like this Photograph because how the trees in the front are in good detail and how he connects the water and the clouds making them look like one subject, or like the water is coming from the clouds like rain. Also he I like how the water looks like gas and fog and how the texture of the rock easily blends with the color and also goes along with the texture of the clouds and water. And the black and white effect that he used make the picture more vibrant. The angle which it is took from is also a big part of why it came out so well.

I enjoy this picture because how the photographer shot it from the low angle making it feel and look more dramatic and how it makes everything seem like its under him and the black background makes him and all the Blue jerseys pop out. Also how he captured the people behind him , teammates and the other team. The camera guy had a real fast shutter speed to capture him in his dunking motion almost like had froze in the air.

WeeGee was a weird yet interesting photographer because he relied on the people to kill themselves or for do to kill others for his photos. And i like his photos because they are real and graphic and shows people dead and bleeding. Also in the article about how he lived in his car and had a stick of meat for whenever he got hungry and a makeshift police radio so he knows when incidents happen so when he is the first one on the scene and he also had his own dark room in the back of his trunk to develop his photos to get them out quickly.
