What I learned from Cambridge In Colour is that if you want flattering light for a portrait the light source should come from the top or , top right  to show more of the models face. But an example of unflattering light is if the light come from the bottom of the subject and the shadows of her face from underneath darkens the other parts of her face leaving the picture looking not a lit as the other with the light source coming from the top or right of the models head and or face. bad potrait lighting examplegood portrait lighting example

Irving Penn

This Picture from Irving Penn , I like it because how the dropped paint looks like it is a solid when it splashes off of the girls head. And its also cool because how the model looks like a statue or like shes a piece of clay too or something.

I like this Photograph because how the trees in the front are in good detail and how he connects the water and the clouds making them look like one subject, or like the water is coming from the clouds like rain. Also he I like how the water looks like gas and fog and how the texture of the rock easily blends with the color and also goes along with the texture of the clouds and water. And the black and white effect that he used make the picture more vibrant. The angle which it is took from is also a big part of why it came out so well.

I enjoy this picture because how the photographer shot it from the low angle making it feel and look more dramatic and how it makes everything seem like its under him and the black background makes him and all the Blue jerseys pop out. Also how he captured the people behind him , teammates and the other team.  The camera guy had a real fast shutter speed to capture him in his dunking motion almost like had froze in the air.

WeeGee was a weird yet interesting photographer because he relied on the people to kill themselves or for do to kill others for his photos. And i like his photos because they are real and graphic and shows people dead and bleeding. Also in the article about how he lived in his car and had a stick of meat for whenever he got hungry and a makeshift police radio so he knows when incidents happen so when he is the first one on the scene and he also had his own dark room in the back of his trunk to develop his photos to get them out quickly.

I like this picture because I get a sense of family from it, like that family matters to him and that the boy and the man have each others back. And a sense like the man is the boys backbone like he protects him and always will.
This photo By Keith Carter , is after the two deer lost each other after running from a deer hunter they had to separate from each other to get away. The male deer had to stay back to fight off the hunter and make sure his deer wife got get to their baby deer to hide them in their house and now they meet back up after a long day separated.

William Eugene Smith was A photographer that was criticized for his vivid and the gore of his photos from the war. But didn't remove or change his photos because of what they said. In this photo you see two soldiers one of which that has found a wounded baby in the mountains and was dying.

https://photographylife.com/what-is-shutter-speed-in-photography

Shutter Speed is the action when you blur a motion or freezing the action. For example if a photography is taking pictures of a boxing fight if the shutter speed is fast they can capture the punch before of even when it lands.

F stop

F stop , F stop is the way you can blur out the background when you are taking a picture and when you focus on the object right in front of you then it unfocused the background. This is to make your object in the picture more focused on and emphasize that is it the main point and object in the picture because the foreground completely gone. To explain this more and in better detail , you can go to the link below.
